Fall Events
Painter's Showcase
Date: Thursday-Sunday, Oct. 7-10
Time: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Admission: $5 per person; 4-day pass
Painters Showcase, a group of thirty-two artists from Portland and the greater metropolitan area will be presenting their 37th annual show at the historic Jenkins Estate. Over 350 works, including paintings, etchings, drawings and collages will be displayed in the Stable/Gallery.
Garden Tea at the Gate House
Date: Oct. 9

(generally held once a month).
Time: 12:30 p.m. Cost: $25 per person
The Gate House hosts our Victorian-style Teas served with a delicious assortment of tea sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and decadent sweets on your own three-tiered tray and accompanied by a selection of fine teas. Above is our signature Lavender Scone.
This event is for those ages 7 and older. (A special menu could be provided for those younger than 12 years of age.) Reservations required. Walk-in seating is not available. Single seating reservations welcome.
Private Teas are scheduled on a date-by-date basis.
Cedar Mill Cider Festival
Date: Sunday, Oct. 17
Time: 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Admission: free
Location: John Quincy Adams Yount House, 12050 NW Cornell Rd, Portland, OR 97229
Please join us for this community event. Bring your family and friends for a crisp, fall afternoon of old-time fun! We’ll be pressing apples and sipping cider while enjoying a delicious barbeque lunch. There will be music, games for the kids and more. Free parking will be available after 1pm in the Cedar Mill Bible Church parking lot.
All proceeds from the barbeque will go to the restoration fund for the John Quincy Adams Young House. Donations are welcome!

Spooktacular
Date: Saturday, Oct. 30
Time: 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Admission: $7 per child
Children 10 and younger are invited to participate in “not-so-spooky” carnival fun at the Stable of the Jenkins Estate. Face painting, lots of games and prizes, crafts, a snack shack, and a hayride to the pumpkin patch are all part of the Halloween happenings at the Estate. Costumes are optional, but encouraged.
Holiday Tea at the Jenkins Estate
Dates: Saturday, Dec. 4 and Tuesday, Dec. 7
Time: 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $30 per person; reservations required (beginning Sept. 1)
Get into the holiday spirit and experience the tradition and hospitality of days gone by with an afternoon tea at the Historic Jenkins Estate ... all decked out for the holidays. Also, find the perfect gift at the gift boutique. A children’s menu is available for those 6-11 years.

Cost: $625 per event
Enjoy the taking of tea served with a delicious assortment of tea sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and decadent sweets.
